HDP Condemns Transfer of Teaching Posts from Alamdar Road Schools, Alleges Discrimination

Quetta: The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has strongly criticized the Balochistan Education Department’s decision to transfer teaching positions from government educational institutions on Alamdar Road to other areas, alleging that the move reflects discrimination against the Hazara community.
In a statement, the party described the decision as unjust and claimed it was part of a pattern of ethnic, linguistic, and regional bias within the Education Department. HDP alleged that the relocation of teaching posts from schools in the area unfairly targets the Hazara community and the residents of Quetta.
The party further claimed that educational institutions on Alamdar Road have already been facing inadequate facilities and that the transfer of teachers’ posts, particularly from girls’ schools attended by thousands of students, would further undermine access to quality education.
According to the statement, the decision sends a message that the area’s concerns can be overlooked due to what the party described as a lack of effective political representation. HDP also criticized local elected representatives, alleging that their silence and lack of engagement have contributed to the area’s ongoing problems.
The party called on the Education Department to immediately reverse the decision to transfer the teaching positions and end what it described as a discriminatory approach toward educational institutions in the area.
