Pakistan Rejects India’s Statement on Alleged Strikes Against Terrorist Infrastructure in Afghanistan

Islamabad: Pakistan has rejected what it described as India’s “baseless and absurd” statement regarding alleged strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan, accusing New Delhi of supporting militant groups operating against Pakistan from Afghan territory.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi responded to remarks made by India’s Ministry of External Affairs, dismissing the Indian claims as unfounded.

According to the spokesperson, India has been sponsoring terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil against Pakistan and has violated the United Nations Security Council sanctions regime.

The Foreign Office also stated that India, which it accused of suppressing the right to self-determination of the people of Indian-administered Kashmir, was making what it called baseless allegations against Pakistan. It further alleged that India’s conduct was inconsistent with the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The spokesperson said India had repeatedly acted in ways that undermine regional peace and stability, while emphasizing that Pakistan would continue to take appropriate measures to safeguard the security of its citizens.

The statement reflects the official position of Pakistan’s Foreign Office. Indian authorities have publicly presented their own position on the matter, which differs from Pakistan’s account.
