Rescue Team Saves Occupants as Vehicle Sinks in Naran’s Kunhar River

Islamabad: A vehicle was swept away and submerged in the Kunhar River in Naran after its occupants attempted to drive across the fast-flowing water, police said.
According to police, several individuals were trying to cross the river by driving their vehicle from one side to the other when the strong current quickly overwhelmed the vehicle, leaving those inside in a life-threatening situation.
Rescue teams responded immediately and reached the stranded vehicle in time. Officials said they had only about 30 seconds to carry out the rescue operation before the vehicle was completely overtaken by the river.
Thanks to the swift response, all occupants were rescued safely. However, the vehicle was swept away and sank into the Kunhar River.
The dramatic rescue and the moment the vehicle disappeared beneath the water were captured on video by people at the scene, with the footage later circulating on social media.
Authorities have urged tourists and motorists to avoid attempting to drive through rivers or floodwaters, particularly during periods of high water flow, warning that such actions can quickly become life-threatening.
