FC Recovers Large Cache of Weapons and Explosives in Intelligence-Based Operation in Panjgur

PANJGUR: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan South has recovered a large cache of sophisticated weapons and ammunition during an intelligence-based operation in the Prom area of Panjgur district, according to security sources.

The operation targeted a suspected vehicle, from which security personnel seized a significant quantity of arms and explosives.

According to security officials, the recovered cache included five improvised explosive devices (IEDs), six rocket launcher rounds, three hand grenades, detonating cord, 1,000 rounds of light machine gun (LMG) ammunition, 400 rounds of sniper rifle ammunition, and three under-barrel grenade launcher (UBGL) rounds.

Security sources said the timely operation thwarted what they described as a major terrorist plot in the area.

Officials claimed the recovered weapons and explosives were intended for use in targeted killings and other planned terrorist activities across the province. The seizure, they said, prevented a significant act of sabotage and enhanced security in the region.

No arrests were immediately reported, and authorities said further investigations are underway.
