PTI Dismisses Rumours About Dr Yasmin Rashid’s Will and Health as ‘False and Fabricated’

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected social media reports claiming that senior party leader Yasmin Rashid had written a will or was in critical condition, describing the reports as false and misleading.
In a statement, Dr Yasmin Rashid’s legal counsel, Rana Mudassir Umar, said the PTI leader was in good health and that there was no truth to the rumours circulating on various social media platforms regarding her deteriorating condition or any alleged final testament.
He said the misinformation was intended to create panic among the public and PTI supporters, urging people to rely only on official statements issued by her legal team or family rather than unverified social media posts.
Separately, Taimur Malik, legal counsel for PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said that after confirming with officials at Kot Lakhpat Jail, reports regarding the lives and well-being of both Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Dr Yasmin Rashid were entirely fake and misleading.
He stated that both leaders are currently lodged at Kot Lakhpat Jail and are safe.
However, Malik added that Dr Yasmin Rashid and Ejaz Chaudhry are facing serious and worsening health issues, a matter that is already known to the court and prison authorities. He said multiple applications have been filed seeking proper medical treatment and their transfer to a hospital.
According to Malik, the jail trial scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed until later this week, meaning their legal team will not be able to meet them in person on the scheduled date.
