Trump Criticizes Congressional Resolution Calling for End to Iran War

Washington:** US President **Donald Trump** has strongly criticized a congressional resolution calling for an end to military action against Iran, describing the measure as “untimely” and “meaningless.”
Speaking on the issue, Trump said he had brought Iran “to its knees” and claimed the country was on the verge of collapse.
“The senators have made my job more difficult, but I will get it done one way or another. I always finish the job,” the president said.
Trump’s remarks came after the US Senate approved a joint resolution aimed at halting military operations against Iran. The measure passed by a narrow margin of **50 votes to 48**.
The resolution had already been approved by the House of Representatives earlier this month and reflects growing concern among lawmakers over continued US involvement in the conflict.
Despite the congressional action, Trump maintained that his administration’s approach toward Iran was effective and suggested that ongoing pressure on Tehran should continue.
The debate highlights deep divisions in Washington over US policy toward Iran, with critics calling for de-escalation while supporters of the administration argue that sustained pressure is necessary to achieve strategic objectives.
