Iran, U.S. Finalize Memorandum of Understanding as Presidents Sign Agreement

Tehran/Washington:** Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has confirmed that the final text of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States has been agreed upon, with both sides completing electronic signatures on the document.

Speaking to state television, the spokesperson said that the agreement has also been signed by the presidents of both countries, marking a significant development in relations between Tehran and Washington.

According to the spokesperson, the meeting scheduled to take place in Switzerland on Friday is not intended for the signing of the agreement. He added that a decision on whether the meeting will proceed is expected within the next few hours.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry further stated that the participation of negotiating teams in Geneva remains on schedule.

Meanwhile, White House officials have also confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran.

The agreement is being viewed as a potentially important step in diplomatic engagement between the two countries, although further details regarding its contents have not yet been made public.
