Loralai Police Step Up Muharram 2026 Security Preparations, Review Comprehensive Safety Plan

Quetta: The district police in Loralai have intensified preparations to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram 2026 and the implementation of foolproof security arrangements across the district.

A high-level meeting chaired by SSP Loralai Dr. Fahad Ahmed was held to review security measures and coordination plans. The meeting was attended by representatives of WAPDA, religious scholars, members of the Hazara community, traders’ associations, municipal authorities, police officials, and other relevant departments.

Participants discussed the overall law and order situation during Muharram, security arrangements for religious gatherings and processions, traffic management, the role of volunteers, monitoring of sensitive locations, and efforts to promote inter-sect harmony.

Addressing the meeting, SSP Dr. Fahad Ahmed said that protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring the peaceful conduct of religious ceremonies remained the district police’s top priority. He emphasized that all available resources and personnel would be utilized effectively to maintain peace and security.

He appreciated the cooperation of religious scholars, the Hazara community, traders, and civil society representatives, noting that religious tolerance, brotherhood, and social harmony could only be strengthened through collective efforts. He also urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies and avoid spreading unverified information or rumors.

The meeting also reviewed a comprehensive security plan for Muharram, which includes the deployment of additional personnel at sensitive locations, continuous monitoring of processions and religious gatherings, strict checking at entry and exit points, CCTV surveillance, and special emergency response measures.

Participants assured the district police of their full cooperation in maintaining law and order and promoting religious harmony during Muharram. At the conclusion of the meeting, SSP Dr. Fahad Ahmed reaffirmed the commitment of the district police to ensuring public safety and the peaceful observance of Muharram rituals.

It was also decided that relevant departments would ensure cleanliness, proper lighting, and uninterrupted electricity supply along the routes of major processions. Emergency medical and rescue services will remain on high alert to respond promptly to any unforeseen situation.
