Balochistan Awami Party Strongly Reacts to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s Speech, Urges Caution on Statements Regarding Martyrs

Quetta (Staff Reporter): The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has issued a strong reaction to the recent address by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. In a statement, the party acknowledged that Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman represents a large segment of the country’s religious community. It emphasized that all political forces should play their role in connecting him with the national mainstream and promoting national unity. The Balochistan Awami Party stressed that “we must avoid becoming tools of the enemy.” While political differences are natural, utmost caution should be exercised in statements related to martyrs (Shuhada). The party warned that any remarks concerning the martyrs only strengthen enemy forces. “Martyrs are the pride of the entire nation, and the integrity and sovereignty of the country are directly linked to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces,” the statement added. The Balochistan Awami Party called upon all political and religious leaders to prioritize national interest and show responsibility in their public statements so that no opportunity is provided to hostile elements. The reaction comes amid heightened sensitivity in Balochistan regarding national unity and respect for the country’s defense institutions.
