11 Business Projects Selected for UK-Supported Climate Finance Accelerator Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Eleven business projects have been selected for the Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) Pakistan programme, supported by the United Kingdom, to help attract investment for climate-focused initiatives across key sectors of the economy.

According to a statement issued by the British High Commission, the selected projects cover a range of sectors, including energy, transport, waste management, agriculture, and green finance.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said that while Pakistan is among the countries most severely affected by climate change, it is also rich in innovation, talent, and potential to develop sustainable solutions.

The statement noted that the Climate Finance Accelerator programme is designed to assist businesses in securing investment for climate-resilient projects. So far, the initiative has helped mobilize nearly $40 million in investment in Pakistan.

Under the programme, the selected companies will receive five months of financial and technical support to strengthen their business proposals and investment readiness.

The projects will be showcased to international investors in October 2026, providing an opportunity to attract global financing for sustainable development and climate action initiatives in Pakistan.
