Sindh Government’s Development Projects Boost Economy, Strengthen Regional Connectivity: Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Provincial Information, Transport, and Public Works Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has stated that the ongoing development projects by the Sindh government are bringing tangible improvements to the province’s economy and the lives of its citizens.

In his statement, he highlighted key strategic projects including the Coastal Highway, Rohri-Guddu Barrage Road, Mehran Highway, Tando Allahyar to Tando Adam Road, and Sanghar to Rohri Road, which are expected to stimulate economic activity across the province.

“These highway and road projects play a pivotal role in strengthening regional and inter-provincial connectivity, boosting trade, agriculture, and industrial sectors,” the minister said.

The senior minister added that development work in districts such as Sanghar, Tando Allahyar, and Nawabshah forms part of a policy aimed at revitalizing the rural economy and creating new employment opportunities for youth.

He emphasized that the Sindh government’s top priorities are ensuring transparency, efficiency, and public benefit in the development process. Timely fund allocation and continuous project monitoring are part of a vision to provide equal opportunities in both urban and rural areas.

Minister Memon also pointed to the Sindh Flood Emergency Reconstruction Project as a prime example of strengthening the province’s infrastructure for sustainable future growth.

“Following the devastating floods of 2022, the rapid and determined recovery efforts by the Sindh government are being recognized as a model for the federal government and other institutions,” he said.

The senior minister noted that restoring and expanding roads in flood-affected areas is crucial for the province’s long-term development and economic stability.
