Another LNG Cargo Arrives in Pakistan, Docks at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Pakistan has received another spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo as the LNG carrier BW Helios docked at the PGPL terminal at Port Qasim.
According to official sources, the vessel arrived on Sunday morning carrying approximately 140,000 cubic meters of LNG. The cargo has been delivered under a competitive bidding process conducted by Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), ensuring additional fuel supplies for the country’s energy needs.
The LNG carrier BW Helios delivered the shipment with support from BP Singapore and berthed at around 8:00 a.m. at the Port Qasim terminal operated by Port Qasim.
The imported LNG will be integrated into Pakistan’s national transmission network to help meet rising domestic energy demand.
Officials said the additional supply is expected to strengthen short-term energy availability and support the country’s power and industrial sectors.
The shipment marks another step in Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to secure spot LNG cargoes amid fluctuating global energy markets, with procurement managed through Pakistan LNG Limited.
