Good News for Job Seekers: KP Cabinet Approves Recruitment of 3,000 Teachers

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved new recruitments to address the shortage of teachers in public educational institutions, offering major relief to job seekers.

The decision was taken during a provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Government spokesperson Barrister Saif, while briefing the media after the meeting, announced that the cabinet had approved the temporary recruitment of **3,000 teachers** for government colleges to fill the existing gap. He added that associate degree holders would also be eligible to apply.

The recruitment drive will cost the provincial exchequer **Rs. 3 billion annually**, he said.

The cabinet also approved a pilot project to outsource certain schools and colleges with very low enrollment rates. However, officials clarified that outsourcing would not affect the jobs of teachers already appointed, and education would continue to be provided free of charge to students in those institutions.
