Turning Away from Worldly Desires and Focusing on the Hereafter Is a Sign of an Accepted Hajj: Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi
Islamabad: During the Friday sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Imam Sheikh Salah Al-Budair advised pilgrims returning from Hajj to remain steadfast in righteousness and avoid returning to sinful and prohibited acts.
Addressing worshippers, Sheikh Al-Budair said that one of the signs of an accepted Hajj is that a person develops detachment from worldly desires and becomes more inclined toward the Hereafter.
He also highlighted the virtues of Madinah and the immense rewards associated with offering prayers in Masjid-e-Nabawi. The Imam stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of respect, etiquette, and conduct within the sacred mosque.
In the concluding part of his sermon, Sheikh Al-Budair encouraged those who may be struggling with negligence in faith or personal sins not to lose hope. He urged them to turn sincerely to Allah in repentance, emphasizing that the doors of divine mercy and forgiveness are always open for those who seek them.
The sermon carried a message of spiritual renewal, reminding Muslims to preserve the positive changes gained through Hajj and to continue striving for a life guided by faith, repentance, and devotion.
