Saudi Government Approves Prayer Areas for Women in All Mosques Across Madinah

RIYADH: The Saudi government has approved the opening of dedicated prayer areas for women in all mosques across Madinah Al-Munawwarah, in a move aimed at facilitating worship for women residing in the city as well as visitors.

Under the approval, designated prayer areas for women will remain open during the times of all daily prayers, allowing women to offer congregational prayers at mosques with greater ease and convenience.

The initiative aims to enhance facilities for women worshippers and make access to mosques easier for them.

Dedicated prayer areas for women have already been available at various mosques in Madinah, including Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet’s Mosque ﷺ). The latest decision will expand such facilities to mosques across the city.
