Abrar-ul-Haq Responds Lightheartedly to Jawad Ahmad’s Political Aspirations

Lahore: Renowned Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq has responded humorously to fellow singer Jawad Ahmad regarding his political ambitions and bold public statements.

Speaking on a private television program as a guest, Abrar-ul-Haq was asked by host Mohsin Abbas Haider about Jawad Ahmad’s recent claim that if he comes into power, a labourer’s salary would be equivalent to one tola of gold.

In response, Abrar-ul-Haq smiled and said that he simply enjoys listening to Jawad Ahmad’s statements, adding that he takes them in a light-hearted manner.

When further asked about Jawad Ahmad’s confidence in calling himself “Pakistan’s last hope,” Abrar-ul-Haq again laughed and said there is no harm in expressing such optimism.

During the same program, he was also asked about television personality Iqrar ul Hassan possibly entering politics. Abrar-ul-Haq welcomed the idea, saying that new individuals should enter politics as it is their right, and it is up to the public to accept or reject them.

He further emphasized that young people should be given opportunities in politics and their voices should be heard.

In a light-hearted comment, he jokingly said in Punjabi that “if someone can manage three wives, perhaps he can also manage a nation,” drawing laughter in the studio.

The remarks come amid ongoing discussions about several media personalities expressing interest in entering Pakistan’s political landscape.
