Actress Humaira Asghar Found Dead in Karachi Apartment; Old Interview Goes Viral

Karachi:Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, known for her appearance in the reality show *Tamasha Ghar* (Season 1), was found dead in her apartment located in DHA Phase 6, Karachi. The tragic discovery was made when police arrived to vacate the premises following a court order.

According to authorities, Humaira had rented the flat in 2018 but had reportedly stopped paying rent since 2024. Due to the ongoing legal dispute, the flat’s owner obtained a court order for eviction. When police arrived to enforce the order, the door was locked from the inside. Upon breaking in, they found the actress’s body. Her body was transferred to the morgue after a post-mortem examination, and her family has been informed.

In the wake of her death, an old interview she gave to *Independent Urdu* in December 2022 has resurfaced on social media. In the emotional interview, Humaira spoke warmly about her family, saying:
*”I’ve always kept my elders close. I have a great relationship with my parents. Even if I don’t visit home for months, I always stay in touch with my mother.”*

She further shared that her mother knew all about her work and travels, and initially, her parents were hesitant about her joining the arts, given that most family members were doctors. However, upon recognizing her talent, they supported her career.

*”Things were difficult in the beginning,”* she said, *”but later everything went according to my wishes.”*

Originally from Lahore, Humaira had been residing in Karachi for her career. Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are currently ongoing, exploring multiple angles. The apartment has been sealed by a court bailiff.
