New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani Calls for End to Iran-US War

New York City: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has called for an end to the war between Iran and the United States.

In a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mamdani said that a war had been started three months ago without public approval or a vote in its favor, while ordinary people were paying the price for the conflict.

According to the mayor’s post, the war was initiated without congressional authorization and has severely impacted public budgets. He said the conflict has also contributed to rising fuel and food prices across the United States.

Mamdani further wrote that he has opposed the war since the very first day and continues to stand against it, stressing that the conflict must come to an end
