Quetta: JUI Leaders Express Concern Over Unannounced Load Shedding, Demand Immediate Solution

Quetta (Khabar Desk) – Senior leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), including District Ameer Sheikh-ul-Hadees Maulana Abdul Rehman Rafiq, Secretary General Haji Ainullah Shams, Senior Vice Ameer Maulana Khurshid Ahmed, Haji Bashir Ahmed Kakar, Secretary Information Abdul Ghani Shehzad, Abdul Samad Haqyar, Mufti Muhammad Abu Bakr, Abdul Bari Shehzad, Maulana Jamaluddin Haqqani, Mufti Rasheed Ahmed Haqqani, and Haji Ata Muhammad Shamsuzai, have expressed deep concern over prolonged and unannounced load shedding in various areas of Quetta.
In a joint statement, they said that due to severe negligence, inefficiency, and irresponsible attitude of K-Electric/QUETTA Electric Supply Company (QESCO) authorities, the lives of citizens have been made miserable during the intense summer heat.
They stated that areas including Sheikh Manda, Killi Gul Muhammad, Sariab, and several other parts of the city are facing hours-long power outages, causing severe difficulties for the public.
The leaders further said that the situation has worsened during Eid-ul-Adha, as continuous power cuts have severely affected domestic consumers as well as traders and the business community. In particular, tailors, whose earnings peak during Eid days, are suffering heavy financial losses due to the prolonged outages.
They added that while citizens are already struggling with inflation, unemployment, and insecurity, unannounced load shedding has further increased their hardships.
The JUI leaders demanded that QESCO authorities immediately end unannounced load shedding, ensure uninterrupted electricity supply, and take urgent steps to provide relief to the public.
