Pakistan Intensifies Diplomatic Efforts to Ease US-Iran Tensions

Pakistan has stepped up diplomatic efforts to help reduce rising tensions between United States and Iran, as Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi continue high-level engagements in Tehran.
According to Iranian officials, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss regional de-escalation, peace, stability, and diplomatic initiatives related to security in the Middle East.
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Iran a day earlier, where he received a warm welcome from Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is already in Iran, held separate meetings with key Iranian figures to discuss measures aimed at easing ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.
The visits reflect Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in promoting regional stability and encouraging dialogue amid increasing geopolitical uncertainty in the region.
