Hajj Meal Expenses for Pakistani Pilgrims Exceed Rs 10 Billion, Menu Details Revealed

MAKKAH/ISLAMABAD: Detailed figures regarding food arrangements and expenses for Pakistani pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme have been made public.
According to official sources, more than Pakistan’s government Hajj program is spending over Rs 10.86 billion on meals for pilgrims this year.
The total expenditure on food for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims has reportedly exceeded 14.48 million Saudi riyals, according to sources.
Each pilgrim is being provided meals worth around 36 Saudi riyals per day (approximately Rs 2,700), which includes three fresh and hot meals daily in Saudi Arabia.
The breakfast menu includes items such as paratha, eggs, tea, halwa, and toast. Lunch typically consists of biryani, qorma, lentils, rice, and salad.
Officials said that the arrangements are part of efforts to ensure proper catering services for pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
In a related religious development, the Imam and خطیب of Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Hudaifi, is expected to deliver the Hajj sermon this year.
According to Arab media, the Saudi authority overseeing the Two Holy Mosques announced that Sheikh Ali Al-Hudaifi will deliver the Hajj sermon at Masjid Namirah in Arafat on Tuesday, 26 May (9 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH).
