Over 164,000 Pakistanis deported from Gulf countries in five years, National Assembly informed

ISLAMABAD (Kuwait News Desk) — Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has informed the National Assembly that a total of 164,788 Pakistani nationals were deported from Gulf countries over the past five years.
According to official documents presented in parliament, Saudi Arabia accounted for the largest number of deportations, with 108,029 Pakistanis expelled during the period.
The United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) deported 40,497 Pakistani nationals, while Oman removed 9,814 individuals. Other Gulf states also reported deportations, including Qatar with 2,971, Bahrain with 2,779, and Kuwait with 698 Pakistani nationals sent back to Pakistan.
The report also highlighted complaints from Pakistani workers abroad. Over the past three years, authorities received 9,233 complaints from workers across seven Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia again topped the list with 5,321 complaints, followed by the UAE with 1,310.
Other complaint figures included Qatar with 677, Oman with 404, Kuwait with 539, Bahrain with 850, and Iraq with 132 complaints from Pakistani workers.
Officials presented the data during a parliamentary session, underscoring ongoing labor and migration challenges faced by overseas Pakistani workers in Gulf states, where millions of Pakistanis are employed in construction, domestic work, and other sectors.
