HIIT Exercise May Help Control High Blood Pressure, New Study Finds

Islamabad (News Desk) — A new study has found that people suffering from high blood pressure may significantly improve their condition through High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which has shown strong effectiveness in controlling hypertension.

Researchers said that for the first time, clear evidence has emerged that both HIIT and combined training programs involving different forms of exercise play an effective role in reducing blood pressure levels.

The study also highlighted that aerobic exercises such as jogging, cycling, and swimming are highly beneficial in managing high blood pressure.

According to experts, the findings further strengthen the view that regular physical activity plays a crucial role in controlling hypertension.

The research, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, was conducted by Brazilian scientists who analyzed data from 31 different studies on hypertension and exercise.

The studies included a total of 1,345 participants suffering from high blood pressure.
