University of Gwadar Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor Reported Missing Near Mastung
Quetta: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Syed Manzoor Ahmed Mastung have reportedly gone missing near Mastung while traveling from Gwadar to Quetta, according to officials.
Assistant Home Minister of Balochistan Babar Yousafzai stated that the two senior academics lost contact with authorities near Mastung the previous day. He said their mobile phones have been switched off and security agencies are actively tracing their whereabouts.
He added that security forces and district administration teams are jointly conducting search efforts, while investigations are underway from all possible angles. The Balochistan government is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and is utilizing all available resources to ensure the safe recovery of both officials.
Quetta authorities have also been informed, while operations continue in the surrounding areas including Mastung to locate the missing individuals.
