Balochistan Issue Is Political and Must Be Resolved Politically: Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri

Islamabad/Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) central general secretary and Member of National Assembly Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that the issue of Balochistan is political in nature and can only be resolved through political means.
Speaking to Quetta-based journalists in Islamabad, he said that merely removing Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti would not bring any major change, and there is a need to seriously address the fundamental issues of Balochistan.
Maulana Haideri said that if a political party comes into power that prioritizes public interests, the situation in Balochistan could improve. He added that JUI-F can play an important role in this regard and will continue its political struggle for the resolution of public issues.
He also expressed concern over alleged conspiracies against religious seminaries, saying that actions against madrassas are not a good omen and could further worsen the situation.
He emphasized that religious seminaries are institutions of the people and have always enjoyed public trust, adding that attempts to cast doubt on their role are not in the national interest.
