JUI’s Fort Cannot Be Weakened by Absurd Claims, Says Maulana Abdul Wasi

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) provincial chief and Senator Maulana Abdul Wasi has dismissed claims of weakening the party’s stronghold in Qila Saifullah as “laughable and immature.”

Addressing an important meeting of the district working committee, he said that various groups were making baseless claims and propaganda, but JUI’s deep ideological, historical, and public roots in the region could not be shaken by “the noise of any newborn political group.”

He added that those who received only a few hundred votes in three provincial assembly constituencies were now claiming they would defeat JUI in a much larger National Assembly constituency — a claim he termed “ridiculous and a clear sign of political immaturity.”

Maulana Abdul Wasi recalled that when JUI’s political opponents failed to defeat the party in the democratic arena, they resorted to violence by martyring Maulana Syed Shamsuddin. “They deprived us physically, but his ideology, character, and struggle remain alive with full strength,” he said.

He stated that the true ideological heir of Maulana Syed Shamsuddin, Maulana Syed Samiuddin, now stands firmly in the electoral field, continuing the mission of the martyr. “This election is not just a political contest, but the practical continuation of the principles and ideology for which the martyr struggled,” he added.

Maulana Abdul Wasi further said that Maulana Syed Shamsuddin’s services for religion, the nation, the protection of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, and JUI’s mission were a shining chapter of history, and his successor is determined to carry this mission forward.

Highlighting a significant development, he revealed that several democratic and genuine political parties were expected to formally announce their support for JUI in the December 18 re-poll.

He expressed confidence that Qila Saifullah would once again prove on December 18 that JUI’s stronghold is “invincible.” He said those who view this region with ill intentions always face disappointment, while the people would again use their vote to uphold ideology and support the heirs of the martyrs.
