US President Donald Trump Arrives in Beijing on Three-Day Visit, Receives Warm Welcome

BEIJING: Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on a three-day official visit to China, where he received a warm and ceremonial welcome from Chinese officials.
Upon his arrival in the Chinese capital, Trump was received by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng. The welcoming delegation also included the US ambassador to China, the Chinese ambassador to the United States, and China’s Executive Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu.
According to reports, around 300 Chinese youths carrying both American and Chinese flags were also present to welcome the US president.
Among those accompanying Trump aboard the presidential aircraft were his son Eric Trump, daughter-in-law Lara Trump, and businessman Elon Musk.
Chinese media reported that during the visit, President Trump is expected to hold important talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Speaking to the media before departing for Beijing, Trump said discussions with Xi Jinping would include detailed talks regarding the Iran conflict. He also stated that he would urge China to open its markets further to American businesses and trade interests.
