Missile and Drone Attack Attempts Reported in UAE for Second Consecutive Day

ABU DHABI (Web Desk) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) reportedly faced missile and drone attack attempts for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, amid rising regional tensions.
According to media reports, Emirati authorities confirmed that the country’s air defense systems were actively responding to incoming missile and drone threats. Loud explosions heard in various areas were attributed to interception operations carried out by the defense system.
The developments follow similar incidents a day earlier, after which Iran denied launching any attacks on the UAE. Iranian state media stated that Tehran had no intention of targeting the Emirates.
However, UAE officials have accused Iran of firing missiles toward its territory again. Authorities reported that three cruise missiles were successfully intercepted by air defense systems, while one missile reportedly fell into the sea.
The UAE Ministry of Defence said the sounds heard across the country were a result of ongoing defensive operations against aerial threats. Officials urged residents to rely only on official sources for information, avoid spreading rumors, and follow safety guidelines during alert situations.
The statement comes amid escalating regional tensions, with authorities emphasizing that the UAE’s air defense systems are fully operational and capable of responding to potential threats.
Residents had also received emergency alerts on Monday afternoon warning of possible missile threats—the first such alerts in nearly a month following a ceasefire period.
Meanwhile, officials in Fujairah confirmed a fire at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone, which was reportedly caused by a drone attack allegedly linked to Iran, according to media reports.
