Dubai Road Accident: 7 Killed, 9 Injured After Minibus Collides With Truck on Emirates Road

Dubai – A tragic road accident on Emirates Road in Dubai has left seven people dead and nine others injured after a passenger minibus collided with a truck, according to Emirati media reports.

Authorities said the incident occurred on Monday when a speeding minibus crashed into the rear of a stationary truck that had reportedly stopped in the middle of the road due to a technical fault.

Preliminary investigations by Dubai Police suggest that the truck was immobilized on the highway when the minibus driver, allegedly failing to maintain attention and safe distance, failed to avoid the obstacle, resulting in a high-impact collision. The crash caused severe damage to the minibus, killing seven passengers on the spot.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, stated that emergency teams were dispatched immediately after the control room received reports of the accident. He confirmed that seven fatalities have been reported, while nine others sustained injuries.

Officials added that five of the injured are in critical condition, while four others suffered moderate injuries. All injured victims were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.

Dubai Police have once again urged motorists to adhere to speed limits, maintain safe distances, and remain fully attentive while driving to avoid such devastating incidents.
