Saudi Arabia Urges Restraint Amid Regional Tensions, Backs Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has called on all parties to exercise restraint amid ongoing regional tensions, while expressing support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saudi Arabia voiced deep concern over the current military escalation in the region. The ministry emphasized the need to reduce tensions, avoid further provocation, and act with patience and responsibility.
The statement also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s backing of Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives, aimed at achieving a political solution that would prevent further instability in the region.

Saudi officials warned that continued escalation could undermine regional and global peace and security, stressing that such developments are not in the interest of any party. The importance of restoring safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz was also underlined.
Earlier, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which he strongly condemned what he described as unjustified Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed Riyadh’s full support for the UAE in safeguarding its security and stability amid the rising tensions.
