Fauji Fertilizer Joins PIA Consortium as Shareholder in Major Restructuring Move

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — Fauji Fertilizer Company has been included as a shareholder in the PIA Consortium, becoming part of PIA Equity Limited, according to an official announcement.
The development means that PIA Equity Limited now holds 100 percent shares of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), marking a significant restructuring in the national carrier’s ownership framework.
In a statement issued by the Arif Habib Consortium, it was confirmed that PIA Equity Limited has added Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited to its shareholder base. Following this inclusion, PIA Equity Limited will retain full ownership of PIA Corporation Limited.
The current shareholding structure of PIA Equity Limited now includes Arif Habib Corporation Limited, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, Lake City Holdings, AKD Group, The City School Group, and Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited.
According to the statement, PIA Equity Limited will serve as the central platform for the acquisition and future management of PIA Corporation Limited, bringing together multiple institutional investors under a unified structure.
The consortium further stated that it is working closely with the Privatization Commission to successfully complete the transaction.
