Balochistan’s Right Being Denied, Claims BSO (Shal) Zonal President Kabir Baloch

Quetta:Balochistan Students’ Organization (BSO) Shal Zonal President, Kabir Baloch, in a recent statement, expressed deep concerns over the continuous denial of Balochistan’s rightful share in various sectors. He specifically highlighted the unfair treatment faced by the youth of the province, particularly in the field of education.

Baloch claimed that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been unjust in its dealings with Balochistan, mentioning that under the *Aaghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan Package*, scholarships were provided to Baloch youth for both domestic and international studies. However, the project director of the *Dara Shukon* initiative allegedly canceled the scholarships of many students without any valid reason. According to Baloch, these scholarships were reportedly issued based on fake local domicile certificates.

When the issue was raised with the concerned authorities, Kabir Baloch said that despite repeated assurances, the local domicile documents of the students who had received the scholarships were not shared. This lack of transparency has raised doubts regarding the authenticity of the entire process.

He urged the Chairman of HEC to take immediate notice of the actions of the *Dara Shukon* project director, warning that if no action is taken, the students of Balochistan will stage an indefinite sit-in outside the regional office of HEC.
