Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Criticizes State Policies, Calls for Dialogue and Empowered Commission

Turbat (Daily Qudrat): President of National Party and former Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has strongly criticized state policies, claiming they have contributed to unrest in the province.
Addressing a council session in Tump and Apsar along with former Senator Jan Muhammad Baloch, he said that blocking genuine nationalist leadership and imposing what he termed “artificial leadership” has undermined democratic processes and worsened the situation in Balochistan.
He stated that the root causes of instability lie in flawed policies and urged authorities to abandon past approaches. He called for the formation of an empowered commission under a national reconciliation framework to resolve issues through dialogue.
Dr. Malik emphasized that his party opposes all forms of violence, unrest, and terrorism, and supports parliamentary supremacy and rule of law. He added that the people of Balochistan have the primary right over their resources and coastline, and stressed that interference in the political process must end.
He warned that excessive use of force is widening the gap between the state and the people, urging the restoration of political space and meaningful negotiations.
Other speakers, including Dr. Noor Zaman, Shakeel Ahmed, and Hamal Baloch, also addressed the gathering and supported the party’s stance on political and democratic issues.
