Trump Warns of Military Action Against Iran, Says US Forces ‘Fully Loaded’ Amid Rising Tensions

Islamabad: US President Donald Trump has warned that American forces are fully prepared to launch an attack on Iran if ongoing tensions escalate, while also expressing hope for a major diplomatic agreement.
In an interview with CNBC, Trump said he believes Iran has no choice but to reach a deal with the United States. “I think we will reach a great agreement,” he stated, adding that Washington has significantly weakened Iran’s leadership and military capabilities.
Trump acknowledged that targeting Iran’s leadership has made the situation more complex but suggested that a new leadership in Tehran could be more reasonable. He also admitted that such actions resemble “regime change,” even though it was not part of his initial commitments.
Rejecting any extension of the current ceasefire, which is set to expire on Wednesday, Trump emphasized that the US is ready to resume military operations if no agreement is reached.
“Our military is fully prepared, mobilized, and eager. They are ready to act the moment an order is given,” he said, adding that the US used the recent two-week ceasefire to strengthen its military readiness, while Iran may have done the same.
Despite the strong warning, Trump reiterated his preference for resolving the conflict through a comprehensive deal, expressing optimism that both sides could ultimately avoid further escalation.
