Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Emphasizes National Unity and Development at Event in Quetta
Quetta:Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar addressed an event in Quetta as the chief guest, underscoring that Pakistan’s progress is closely tied to the development of Balochistan. He stressed the importance of vigilance against anti-national elements and called for collective unity to contribute to the country’s advancement.
In his speech, Dar reflected on his thirty-one years of political experience, noting that whenever Pakistan makes strides in development, there are hidden forces that attempt to undermine the country’s progress. He recalled that in 2017, Pakistan had reached the position of the 24th largest economy globally, with macroeconomic indicators and international institutions recognizing it as the second most preferred destination for foreign investment. He highlighted that Pakistan’s stock exchange was among the top five in the world and the leading one in South Asia.
Dar urged attendees to pledge not to fall victim to conspiracies and to unite against adversarial forces. He praised Pakistan’s natural resource endowment and acknowledged the contributions of former leaders, including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, in establishing Pakistan as a nuclear power. He emphasized that Pakistan will endure through the ages and urged citizens to reject the influence of anti-people forces while promoting unity and fraternity.
The event was attended by notable figures including Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and members of provincial assemblies from Punjab and KP, including Raheela Naeem, Agha Ali Haider, and Hadiya Nawaz. Senior government officials and tribal elders were also present, reflecting a strong show of support and national pride.
