Chinese President Xi Jinping, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Strait of Hormuz Situation in Phone Call

Islamabad: Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Salman to discuss regional developments, including the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to international media reports, President Xi emphasized the importance of ensuring the safe and normal passage of ships through the vital waterway. He reiterated that stability in the region is essential for global trade and energy security.
Xi Jinping also expressed China’s support for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, stressing that all conflicts in the Middle East should be resolved through political and diplomatic means.
Meanwhile, Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated during a media briefing that the United States had violated the ceasefire agreement. He added that the situation has been communicated to a Pakistani mediator.
Baghaei said Iran remains a peace-loving country but accused the United States of not being serious about advancing diplomatic efforts, alleging that Washington has carried out aggressive actions and breached the terms of the ceasefire.
