ATC Grants 5-Day Physical Remand of 26 Accused in Bani Gala Interference Case

Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has approved a five-day physical remand of 26 accused in a case related to alleged interference in official duties in the Bani Gala area.
During the hearing, presided over by ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, police presented the suspects and requested 20-day physical remand for each accused.
The investigating officer told the court that the suspects had gathered unlawfully and were armed with petrol bombs, sticks, and stones. He further alleged that the accused attacked a Capital Development Authority anti-encroachment team, resulting in injuries and damage to police property, including acts of arson.
The court, however, partially accepted the police request and granted a five-day physical remand for all 26 accused.
According to officials, the suspects were arrested on April 14, and a case has been registered at the Secretariat Police Station.
