Muslim Unity Essential to Safeguard Resources, Says Fazlur Rehman in Meeting With Iranian Envoy

Islamabad: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has emphasized the need for unity among Muslim countries, warning that without it, they risk being exploited and losing control over their resources.
He made these remarks during a meeting with a high-level Iranian delegation led by Reza Amiri Moghadam at his residence.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the implications of recent tensions between the United States and Iran, as well as broader regional developments.
The Iranian envoy appreciated Fazlur Rehman’s stance on the Iran–US situation and conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Iranian people for his support.
Fazlur Rehman stated that Pakistan’s role in hosting talks between the United States and Iran is a matter of national pride. He expressed hope for a ceasefire and lasting peace, while reiterating his vision for the formation of a unified Islamic bloc.
He stressed that unity among Muslim leadership is essential, as division could lead to continued external influence and loss of sovereignty over their own resources.
