Saudi Arabia Announces Strict Penalties for Performing Hajj Without Permit

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced strict penalties for individuals attempting to perform Hajj without obtaining an official permit.
According to the ministry, a fine of up to 20,000 Saudi riyals will be imposed on those who perform or attempt to perform Hajj without authorization. Additionally, individuals who assist or provide shelter to unauthorized pilgrims may face fines of up to 100,000 riyals.
The ministry stated that these regulations will be enforced from the 1st of Dhul Qa’dah until the 14th of Dhul Hijjah.
Authorities also warned that transporting visit visa holders to Mecca or other holy sites during this period will result in penalties. Those caught attempting to perform Hajj illegally may face deportation and a ban on re-entering Saudi Arabia for up to 10 years.
The measures are part of efforts to regulate pilgrimage activities and ensure the safety and organization of millions of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
