Babar Azam Eyes Consistency as Peshawar Zalmi Build Momentum

Babar Azam, captain of Peshawar Zalmi, said team performance is key to enjoyment after his side secured a win against Multan Sultans.
Speaking at a post-match press conference, Babar noted that modern cricket has become significantly faster, adding that even red-ball cricket now demands a more aggressive approach. He emphasized the importance of adapting to different match conditions and playing styles.
“When your team performs well, you enjoy it more. You have to play differently in different positions,” he said.
The Zalmi skipper expressed his intention to maintain the team’s current momentum, stating that consistency will be crucial in the upcoming matches.
He also praised young bowler Sufiyan Muqeem for his impressive performances, saying he has a bright future ahead.
On the prospect of winning a trophy, Babar remained philosophical, saying that while ambitions are high, success ultimately depends on destiny. “If a trophy is written in my fate as captain, I will surely achieve it,” he added.
