Quetta Security Plan Reviewed to Improve Law and Order; Decision to Establish Control Room

Quetta: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzeb Khan Kakar to review the overall security situation in consultation with representatives of the Hazara community.

The meeting was attended by MPA Abdul Samad Gorgij, DIG Police Quetta Imran Shoukat, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, SSP Operations Asif Khan, SSP Security Naeem Achakzai, along with representatives of the Hazara Democratic Party, Shia Ulema Council, Hazara Jirga, traders’ associations, and other stakeholders.

During the meeting, participants conducted a detailed review of the security plan for Quetta city and decided to establish a joint control room in collaboration with the Hazara community to prevent incidents of terrorism. It was also agreed to increase police patrolling across the city.

Officials stressed the need for coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies and the public to ensure the safety of lives and property. Instructions were also issued to enhance patrolling on sensitive routes and ensure the installation of CCTV cameras.

Commissioner Shahzeb Khan Kakar stated that all available resources are being utilized to maintain peace and that strict action will be taken against those disturbing law and order. He added that security measures would be further strengthened with the cooperation of the Hazara community to make them more effective and foolproof.

DIG Police Imran Shoukat said that protecting citizens is the top priority of the police and no compromise will be made on public safety. He added that security forces are actively conducting operations against terrorist elements in coordination with intelligence agencies.

He further stated that efforts are ongoing to make Quetta a safer city by utilizing all available resources. The meeting also directed that injured individuals from recent incidents be provided with the best possible medical treatment.

At the conclusion of the meeting, prayers were offered for those who lost their lives in terrorist incidents.
