Iran Warns of Fuel Price Surge, Slams Trump Over Hormuz Blockade Threat

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has strongly criticized Donald Trump following his announcement of a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, warning of serious global economic consequences.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ghalibaf mocked the proposed move, stating that “after this so-called blockade, you will soon miss $4 to $5 gasoline,” اشاره کرتے ہوئے کہ اس اقدام سے عالمی ایندھن کی قیمتیں بڑھ سکتی ہیں۔
He also issued a stern warning to the former US president, cautioning against testing Iran’s resolve. Ghalibaf said Iran would respond firmly to any aggression, adding, “If you choose war, we will respond with war; if you come with logic, we will respond with logic.”
Meanwhile, an Iranian delegation maintained that Tehran has taken constructive steps in recent negotiations to demonstrate goodwill, claiming that these efforts had led to some progress in talks.
The escalating rhetoric underscores rising tensions between Iran and the United States, as concerns grow over potential disruptions in global energy markets and regional stability.
