Three Coast Guards Personnel Martyred in Militant Attack Near Jiwani, Coastal Security Placed on High Alert

Jiwani: Three personnel of the Pakistan Coast Guard were martyred after unidentified armed men attacked a patrol boat near the coastal town of Jiwani in Balochistan, security sources said.
According to details, the martyred personnel have been identified as Naik Afzal, Sepoy Jameel, and Sepoy Umair. The patrol team was engaged in routine surveillance of Pakistan’s maritime borders when it came under sudden and intense gunfire from an unknown direction.
Officials said the attack appeared to be highly coordinated and left the personnel with no opportunity to respond effectively. The attackers reportedly fled the scene via sea routes immediately after the incident.
Following the attack, security has been tightened across Jiwani, Gwadar, and the entire coastal belt, with all sensitive installations placed on high alert.
The Pakistan Coast Guards, along with the Pakistan Navy and other law enforcement agencies, has launched a large-scale search operation both at sea and on land to track down those responsible.
Authorities described the incident as a serious challenge to coastal security and said investigations are underway from all angles.
The bodies of the martyred personnel will be sent to their native areas after completion of legal and official procedures. Security officials vowed that the sacrifice of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty would not go in vain, and those responsible would be brought to justice.
