Lahore: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, calling it a positive development.

In a statement shared on social media, Nawaz Sharif paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir for what he described as their extraordinary diplomatic efforts that helped avert a major global crisis.

He also appreciated the leadership of Iran and the United States for demonstrating wisdom and choosing peace, expressing hope that this historic development would lead to lasting global stability and peace.
