Woman Seriously Injured in Gas Explosion at Home in Altaf Town, Karachi

**Karachi** — A gas explosion occurred in a house in **Altaf Town, Korangi Crossing**, leaving a woman severely burned and in critical condition.

According to rescue officials, the victim has been identified as **Nazia**, wife of Gulrez. She was immediately shifted to the burns ward at **Civil Hospital Karachi** for emergency treatment.

The SHO of Zaman Town, **Ayaz Khan**, stated that the incident took place at House No. 818, Street 17, Altaf Town. Preliminary reports suggest that Nazia had visited her in-laws for Iftar and upon returning home found that gas was leaking. When she tried to light a match, the gas ignited, causing a sudden explosion.

The resulting flames caused severe burns, affecting approximately 50% of her body. Her brother-in-law rushed her to the hospital for treatment. Her husband works in **Dubai**.

Doctors have described her condition as critical and are making all efforts to save her life. 🚨
