End Imran Khan’s Solitary Confinement and Transfer Him to Hospital, Demands Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has called for the immediate end of PTI founder Imran Khan’s solitary confinement and his transfer to a hospital following the release of his latest medical report.
In a statement on social media platform X, Fawad Chaudhry said the medical report made it imperative for the government to end Imran Khan’s solitary confinement and move him to a hospital where better medical facilities could be provided.
Expressing concern over Imran Khan’s health and conditions in jail, he said denying basic medical care to what he described as the most popular leader of millions of people and keeping him in prolonged solitary confinement was highly condemnable.
Fawad Chaudhry said there should be no delay in providing Imran Khan with all necessary medical facilities and an appropriate environment in accordance with the recommendations of medical experts.

According to a report submitted to the Supreme Court, a medical board that examined Imran Khan at Adiala Jail has made several recommendations to help manage his health, blood pressure and anxiety.
The medical board said some relaxation in the prison environment was necessary in view of his current medical condition. It recommended that Imran Khan be allowed to walk for at least one hour every day to help control his anxiety and blood pressure.
The doctors also recommended regular access to magazines, newspapers, books and television to keep him mentally and intellectually engaged.
