Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Warns India of Strong Response to Any Provocation

Sialkot: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a stern warning to India, cautioning against any future provocations and vowing a stronger response if tensions escalate.

Speaking to the media, Khawaja Asif said that India appeared “frustrated” and was making “irresponsible statements.” He warned that if an incident similar to the Pahalgam episode were repeated, Pakistan’s response would be far more extensive.

“In the past, we only went 200 to 250 kilometers inside, but this time we will reach Kolkata,” he stated, referring to what he described as a potential “false flag operation.”

Addressing domestic issues, the defence minister acknowledged rising inflation in Pakistan and said the government was making efforts to control it. He added that provincial governments were also contributing during difficult economic conditions, but emphasized that the country requires substantial financial resources—amounting to trillions of rupees—to overcome the crisis.

Reassuring the public, Khawaja Asif said that the journey of development would continue despite challenges and that the government would present its performance to voters in the next general elections.

He reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance on national security, warning that any aggressive move by India would be met with a decisive and expanded response.
