Ali Zafar Shares First Instagram Post After Winning Defamation Case Against Meesha Shafi

Globally renowned singer Ali Zafar has shared his first Instagram post after winning a defamation case against fellow artist Meesha Shafi, expressing gratitude and humility following the court’s decision.
In his post, Ali Zafar thanked اللہ (God) and all those who supported him during what he described as one of the most difficult periods of his life. He stated that justice had finally been served, adding that he does not feel a sense of victory but rather humility and gratitude, emphasizing that he holds no negative feelings toward anyone.
He further wrote that this chapter of his life has now closed and expressed hope that everyone can move forward with dignity and peace. He reiterated that he does not view the outcome as a celebration, but as a moment of reflection marked by humility and thankfulness.
Earlier this week, a court in Lahore ruled in favor of Ali Zafar, ordering Meesha Shafi to pay Rs5 million in damages. The court noted that Meesha Shafi did not appear during proceedings and failed to provide sufficient evidence to support her allegations, while Ali Zafar presented his witnesses before the court.
The case, filed in 2018 after Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of harassment, became one of Pakistan’s most high-profile cases associated with the global “Me Too” movement.
