Bizenir Ambulance Service Inaugurated in Balochistan as Health Sector Reforms Continue: Health Minister

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – The Bizenir Ambulance Service was inaugurated at the Emergency Services Academy in Lahore under the leadership of Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar. The ceremony was attended by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, DG Academy Dr. Rizwan, and other senior officials.
Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar stated that through inter-provincial cooperation, Balochistan’s rescuers have received advanced training. He urged the rescuers to dedicate themselves to public service and praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her support in this initiative. He also highlighted that health sector reforms are ongoing under the leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti.
The minister added that no polio cases have been reported in Balochistan over the past 15 months, and the immunization coverage has increased from 38% to 51%. A student from Khuzdar secured the first position in the training course, and a cash prize of PKR 100,000 was announced for each trainee who completed the program successfully.
He further mentioned that hospital digitization has ensured over 50% staff attendance, with disciplinary actions and salary deductions implemented for absentee staff. A modern tracking system for medicine supply has also been introduced.
Bakht Muhammad Kakar said that an international-standard trauma center in Balochistan has been completed and will be inaugurated soon. Additionally, the Balochistan Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases is expected to open shortly.
