Chief Secretary Balochistan Chairs Meeting on Governance Reforms and Public Service Delivery

Quetta:Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, presided over a meeting of the Secretaries Committee on Wednesday to review key governance initiatives, including the File Tracking System, IPMS, acceleration of development projects, registration of births, deaths, and marriages, promotion of a cashless economy, and activation of official social media accounts.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Kamber Dashti, Additional Chairman CMIT Muhammad Ali Kakar, Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, along with all administrative secretaries, attended the session.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized that it is the primary duty of government officers to serve the public with honesty and dedication. He stressed that officials must resolve citizens’ issues on a priority basis and facilitate them at every level to build greater public trust in government institutions.
Highlighting the importance of a **cashless economy**, Khan said transitioning both public and private financial transactions to digital systems would promote transparency, efficiency, and security while making services more accessible and affordable for the people.
He also underscored the significance of timely **birth, death, and marriage registrations**, stating that such documentation is crucial for protecting citizens’ fundamental rights, ensuring accurate government records, and enabling effective planning and service delivery. He urged citizens to view registration as a responsibility that guarantees legal safeguards and access to facilities.
The Chief Secretary further directed all secretaries to ensure swift resolution of complaints lodged on the **File Tracking System** and **Pakistan Citizen Portal**, and to focus on the timely completion of development projects within stipulated deadlines.
He concluded by noting that successful execution of these reforms and projects would not only enhance public service delivery but also accelerate the province’s overall socio-economic development.
